Fairfax police search for 7-Eleven robber

Fairfax County police are searching for an armed man who robbed a Reston 7-Eleven early Monday morning.

Police said the man went into the convenience store at 2303 Soapstone Drive about 3:30 a.m., displayed a gun and demanded cash from two employees.

The man fled with an unknown amount of money. The employees weren't injured.

The robber was described as black, about 6 feet tall and approximately 250 pounds, police said. He was wearing a black hat, black pants and a green jacket. He wore a gray cloth over his face.

Anyone with information can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477.

That's the second time in a year that Reston 7-11 has been the target of an armed robbery. It may have something to do with the Shadowood condominiums being across the street. I used to live near there and there were some shady characters there. It should be closed at midnight.
