Police identify man found dead in Fairfax lake

The man whose body was found in Lake Barcroft in late November was a 24-year-old Falls Church man, Fairfax County police said today.

Police named the man as Mario Enrique Sandoval Soto, of the 6000 block of Knollwood Dr., according to a press release.

He was found around 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 29 floating near a dock in Lake Barcroft, police said.

Authorities have said they believe that Sandoval died as a result of drowning and that they did not suspect foul play.
