20 years for fake cop, Md. rapist
A Frederick man accused of raping a woman while impersonating a police officer has pleaded guilty to a second-degree sex offense and has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Thirty-seven-year-old Michael Barnwell entered the plea on Wednesday. His trial in April ended in a mistrial.
A woman testified that Barnwell pulled her over on Feb. 23, 2009 and said he was a police officer. The woman said Barnwell ordered her into his vehicle, then forced her to have sex with him.
The woman identified Barnwell from a photo lineup.
In April, a judge declared a mistrial in Barnwell's case.

How old is this scumbag? Was he given time for impersonating a police officer as well as the rape , and if so are his sentences running concurrently or consecutivley? I hope that he will not be able to get out until his 'plumbing ' no longer functions. Of course there are other surgical ways to insure that he never commits another sexual offense. Too bad that wasn't part of the sentence!

He should serve the entire 20-year sentence.

Rape should be a life sentence. There is no rehabilitation for rapists. The will re-offend.
