3 arrested after Frederick bar brawl

By The Frederick (Md.) News-Post

Frederick police say three men were arrested after a brawl outside a bar that left one of the men injured.

It happened early Monday outside the Olde Towne Tavern on North Market Street.

Police say one man, 31-year-old Darnell Morris of Frederick, was struck in the face with a drinking glass, leaving him with several lacerations. He was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Police say Morris played an active role in the fight, and charged him with assault. Thirty-seven-year-old Renell Jones of Frederick, who, police said, struck Morris with the glass, was also charged with assault.

Police charged 36-year-old Tiray Onley of Ijamsville with disorderly conduct.

Police are investigating what caused the fight.

Perhaps it started when they were arguing about who had the worst first name? Tiray, you win.

According to the article, when you turn 37, your age is spelled out.

In their thirties? Fighting like middle schoolers? How did they get the glass outside? Let's save some money on court with this. Here's an idea. get a jail cell, lock them in for a weekend together so they can fight out whatever is up their craw. On Monday morning, take these men to the local park, highway etc. and have them pick up trash for a week. For free. That will give them time to think about how they are not going to behave in the future. Have this as a mandatory "incentive" for all those carted to jail or the ER (alive, of course) citizen or not. No matter what race, income level, religion, ethnicity, sex, AGE, whatever. No judge involved. period.

EAII, proper Enlish dictates that when you start a sentence with a number (37)...the number is to be spelled out (Thirty-Seven)
