30 years for Md. killer in 2008 case
A convicted rapist has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing a Baltimore woman and leaving her body in a parked vehicle in Frederick.
Thirty-five-year-old Ronnie Winkler still faces charges in his hometown of Baltimore that he murdered another woman and committed two rapes in 2008.
Winkler was sentenced Tuesday in Frederick for killing his nephew's girlfriend, 19-year-old Shneara Boone.
He pleaded guilty in June to second-degree murder for killing Boone, whose partially clothed body was found asphyxiated in her sport utility vehicle in September 2008.
Winkler previously served a prison term for the 1994 rape of a 13-year-old girl.
