Brothers face drug charges in Md.
Two brothers from Georgia face drug charges in Frederick after a traffic stop led police to thousands of dollars worth of cocaine and marijuana.
Frederick Police say 23-year-old Torey Howell and 26-year-old Gary Howell, of Columbus, Ga., face conspiracy, drug possession and other charges. They say an officer stopped them for an equipment violation after midnight Sunday.
Officials say Gary Howell ran away with a large bag, and his brother drove off. Officers later caught the two, and found 10 pounds of marijuana in the car as well as $15,000 worth of powdered cocaine and two handguns.
During a search of a townhouse where the men were staying, police found 10 pounds of marijuana in a bag, which they believe Gary Howell had when he fled the scene. The marijuana is valued at $20,000 to $30,000.
