Inmate attacked sex offender, gets year
An inmate who assaulted a child sex offender in the Frederick County Adult Detention Center has been sentenced to a year in jail.
Twenty-year-old Denver J. Owens was sentenced on Tuesday. He pleaded guilty to second-degree assault in the June attack on 19-year-old Jonathan M. Bonita.
Owens punched Bonita in the head twice shortly after arriving at the jail.
Bonita had pleaded guilty in June to second-degree sex offense for having a 4-year-old girl perform a sex act about two years ago. He is serving an 18-month sentence.
Bonita spoke at Owens' sentencing, and said he was tried of being harassed by other inmates. He is in protective custody.

Mr. Bonita is tired of being harassed by other inmates?! Even criminals know child molesters are the lowest of the low. 18 months for molesting a child?! I say lock them all up and throw away the key.

I think the judge who only sentenced this piece of garbage to 18 months should be put in prison. Punching someone in the head 2 times warrents 1 year but molesting a child gets you 18 months. This little girl will most likely be scarred for the rest of her life. I hope when this predator gets out of jail he receives some street justice. Thank god it wasnt my kid I would be waiting outside the jail on release day.

How does a person get 6 months less time than a person who performed a sex act on a 4 year old child? I hope Mr. Owen got a good punch in for me when he assualted the trash of a human being name Jonathan Bonita.
