A woman convicted of stealing nearly $20,000 from the business she worked for has been sentenced to probation and ordered to repay the money.

Fifty-three-year-old Patricia Nusbaum of Frederick was found guilty of theft scheme over $500 and sentenced on Tuesday.

Prosecutors say representatives of J.B. Interiors, for whom Nusbaum worked for 23 years, approved of the sentence.

Police say from 2005 to 2009, Nusbaum, who was an office manager, wrote herself at least 23 checks ranging from $200 to $2,200.
