Gangs teamed to terrorize 3 Va. cities, indictment says
Eight people face gang-related charges that accuse them of terrorizing neighborhoods in three Virginia cities.
A 108-count indictment handed up by a federal grand jury in Norfolk includes charges of racketeering, murder, attempted murder, and firearm and drug crimes.
U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride announced the charges Friday after the indictment was unsealed. MacBride says all the suspects are in custody.
The charges involve two gangs, the Bounty Hunter Bloods and the Nine Tech Gangsters. MacBride says the gangs joined forces and terrorized neighborhoods in Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Suffolk.
