Woman killed in Southwest D.C.
D.C. detectives are investigating a homicide that happened at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday night in the unit block of Galveston Place SW.
D.C. police have identified the victim as Tawanna Barnes-Copeland, 41, of Southwest Washington. Barnes-Copeland was stabbed, police said.

Police said they would have more information to release on the case shortly.
