Body of Tortured DEA Agent Was Found 25 Years Ago Today
"No single event," the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration writes, "had a more significant impact on the DEA than the abduction and murder of ... Special Agent Enrique 'Kiki' Camarena."
"His kidnapping and violent death brought the American public face-to-face with the vicious brutality of drug trafficking," the DEA wrote in a statementThursday.
