D.C. police investigate morning homicide in Southeast
D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the killing of a man who was fatally shot early this morning in the Garfield Heights area of Southeast Washington.
At about 3 a.m. today, patrol officers went to the 2700 block of Langston Place SE to investigtate a report of a shooting. They found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to a police press release.
Emergency workers took the man to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
The identity of the victim was being withheld pending the notification of relatives, police said.
