Hyattsville man charged in killing in Riverdale

A Hyattsville man was charged Monday in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy in Riverdale on Saturday, authorities said.

Jeremy Q. Proctor, 18, was arrested in Lanham and charged with first-degree murder and related counts in the death of Marcus Vines.

According to police charging documents, three witnesses at the scene of the incident just before 10 p.m. Saturday in the 6600 block of Riverdale Road picked Proctor from a photo lineup as the shooter.

Charging documents give no motive in the killing. Vines, of Hyattsville, was taken to Children's National Medical Center after the shooting and later died.

A report like this is not really much good without a few details. I think that the reporters sit on their butts and read from the newswire. You could at least put a clue to a reason,or even better ask someone.
