Man charged with murder in Salisbury girl's slaying
A registered sex offender has been indicted on murder charges in the death of an 11-year-old Salisbury girl, the Associated Press reports.
Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis said Tuesday that Thomas Leggs Jr., 30, has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Sarah Foxwell, whose body was found in a wooded area on Christmas Day.
Lewis said prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the case.
Leggs was initially charged with kidnapping and burglary after the girl was abducted from her home the night of Dec. 22. He has been in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
The sheriff said the delay in bringing murder charges was because investigators were compelled to be “methodical and deliberate in everything we did” to make the strongest possible case.

When is the world going to realize that sex offenders cannot be cured. Mant psychiatrists and pschologists testify that they will keep on offending and that a register is not enough.
It strikes me as a question....How much do we LOVE our children.?????
The sex offender should NEVER be allowed into the killing arena again.
