How sad to read another young black male has been arrested for murder. Will the DC black community ever be able to change this endemic culture? It doesn't seem they want "outside" help. So what's left? More black men murdered?

The race of the perpetrator is not he issue. It's his ignorance and lack of humanity that is. I'm a black man, but I don't consider murderers a part of my community. Once one decides that he/she will behave in an inhumane manner, they have abandoned their community and, thus, relinquish their right to be cosidered community members. At that point, they are impending members of the criminal community, or prison poulation-- they just haven't yet been caught or sentenced.

Dumb @zz decision making skills... Why didn't they think before they reacted... Walking away is always better than 30 years in prison...

WilliamHuxtan: how on earth do you know what "the DC black community" (which isn't monolithic) wants?

Eoakitobi: Ditto!

You are right, why dont you concentrate on helping members of the white community stop molesting teen age boys. Seeing that every crime committed by a black person is an indictment on the "black community" I figured that the same can be said about the white community. Fair enough?
