Stabbing victim dies a month later

A man who was stabbed and critically wounded last month in the District died Saturday from the wounds he sustained in the attack, police said.

Michael Bailey, 33, of no fixed address was stabbed March 9 in an apartment in the unit block of Forrester Street SW. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition at the time, police said, and on Saturday, he was pronounced dead.

The case is being investigated as a homicide, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM [E] (1-888-919-2746).
