Teen charged with killing his uncle in Pr. William

A Manassas area teenager was charged Wednesday with killing his uncle at their home, Prince William County police officials said.

Davion D. Howard of the 10000 block of Trundle Place is charged with murder in the shooting of Aristotle O. Howard, 39.The 18-year-old is also charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said they received a call shortly after midnight Wednesday that someone had been shot at the Trundle Place home. When they arrived, police found Aristotle Howard inside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died there.

A patrol officer responding to the shooting spotted Davion Howard walking away from the home, his clothes covered in blood, police said. Howard was immediately arrested.

Details of the shooting were unclear, but police said it appears that the family members were in an argument prior to the shooting. Howard is being held without bond and has a scheduled court date May 26.

You're not supposed to murder your uncle?

With a name like Davion Decontai Howard, I need not say any more.

Those aged 18-20 are also adults and not "kids" or "teens", meaning they shouldn't be called those words. The writer of this article broke that rule by calling the young man who murdered a "teen". This article should've been titled "Young Man charged with killing his uncle in Pr. William". It's good that the young man has been arrested.
