Tattoos lead to Manassas man's arrest

Patrick Joshua Walsh went to Prince William County police on Wednesday to turn himself in on charges of grand larceny and possession of stolen goods. When police got a look at him, he ended up in even deeper trouble.
Alert Prince William police officers noticed that Walsh, 29, fit the description of a man who had robbed a Woodbridge grocery store last Friday and then unsuccessfully tried to rob a patron of the same store on Monday.

Then the officers saw his arms and knew they had a match. “His tattoos gave him away,” said Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman. “He has distinctive tattoos, and the officers noticed them and arrested him for the robberies.”
According to police, Walsh walked into the La Despensa Latina Grocery at 4120 Dale Boulevard on Friday night at about 9 p.m. He then brought out a handgun, demanded money from a 22-year-old clerk and then fled on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
On Monday, Walsh allegedly went to the same grocery store at about 7:30 p.m. and asked a 44-year-old man who was standing in line for money. When the man refused, Walsh allegedly pulled out a handgun but left after the man continued to refuse to hand over any money.
Police issued a lookout for a man vaguely fitting Walsh’s description after each robbery, and they found him when he walked into the police department himself.
Walsh, of Manassas, was charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, poessession of a firearm by a convicted felon and burglary while armed.
Walsh also faces the original charges of grand larceny and possession of stolen goods. He has a court date set for October 18, and he is being held in the Prince William jail without bond.

There's pretty much only 2 groups of people with tattoos...criminals and carnival workers. Guess he's in the first group.

Quit holding him in jail and just execute him. He obviously isn't adding anything to society.

Hey BigDaddy651, You forgot a group of people with tattoos (and body piercings) in your over-generalization: middle-aged males with a PhD engineering degree from a top-ten engineering university.

williamhuxtan,
Well don't virtually all criminals and carnival workers have tattoos?
Anyone else is pretty much just trying to fit in. Got to love the suburban caucasian guy with the oriental letters or tribal stuff...real authentic and original.

Years ago I wanted the Anheuser-Busch "A" , you know it has the eagle coming through the hole in the letter "A". Man I am so glad I never got it, although, I bet my sons would like it.

Nothing says you're narcissistic and/or judgment-impaired like a tattoo

Gee! A White guy, committing a crime, in Virginia, I don't believe it.
And "smart" too...NOT!! Turned himself in for grand larceny, when he is a convicted felon, used handgun in commission of a felony, burglary, out walking the streets.
You need to get a grip Virginia.

Hlynchmaster,
Did you see the stoner guy who was caught with the stolen police rifle the other day in the Post? He too was caucasian.
As I said then...stupidity is equal opportunity. No one is claiming minorities have cornered that market and this guy is more proof.
