3 nominated to D.C. Court of Appeals

Three Washington attorneys were nominated Tuesday to fill the vacancy of retiring D.C. Court of Appeals Judge Inez Smith Reid.
The District's Judicial Nomination Commission nominated Washington's Solicitor General Todd Sunhwae Kim; Corinne Ann Beckwith, an attorney with the appellate division of the District's Public Defender Servivce and Walter A. Smith Jr., executive director of the D.C. Appleseed Center of Law.
The Commission submitted the nominees to President Barack Obama, who is scheduled to make his selection from the three names within 60 days.
