A small fire erupted on the sixth floor of the D.C. Superior Court building around 6:30 this morning.
As a result, the court building will not open until 10 a.m., says court spokeswoman Leah Gurowitz.
The building's sprinkler system extinguished the fire. There were no injuries, authorities said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
