Sexual assault in Franconia: Police

Washington Post Editors

Fairfax County detectives are investigating the sexual assault of a woman who was standing at a bus stop at La Vista Drive and Franconia Road around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

While she waited for a bus, the 23-year-old woman told police, a heavy-set man between 25 and 40 years old wearing a t-shirt and tan cargo pants approached her from behind, grabbed and assaulted her.

The victim was transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.

How tall was he? What color was he? What race was he? Did he have any distinguishing feature?

How is anybody supposed to help if you describe 20% of the population?

This paper takes Political correctness to extreme lengths and looks the worse for it.

I apologize for the censoring comment but your forums are acting screwy--they show up then disappear then show up again--my apology's but the article is still lacking a description.

..it's pretty dark out there at 4:30am. Might not be a good idea to stand out there by yourself, whether you're a man or a woman.
