Armed robbery at Sterling store
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Spice Bazaar convenience store on Cascades Parkway in Sterling on Sunday, authorities said.
Two employees were inside the store around 6:30 p.m. when two men wearing white hooded sweatshirts and carrying large knives entered the store and demanded cash from the register, police said.
The first man was described as 6' tall with a thin build. His sweatshirt had an unknown print on the front, authorities said. The second suspect was described as 5'8" tall, about 140 to 160 pounds. Both wore dark jeans, police said.
The two suspects were last seen fleeing the area on foot, according to Loudoun sheriff's spokesman Kraig Troxell. No one was hurt during the robbery, Troxell said.
