Car windows smashed in Ashburn
Loudoun County Sheriff's officials said the windows of at least seven cars were shatted in an Ashburn neighborhood overnight.
The first incident was reported about 11:30 p.m. Thursday after a car alarm went off in the 43400 block of Blair Park Terrace, authorities said. That was followed by reports from Cherrystone Place, Trout Terrace, Clifton Terrace, Nashua Street, Alderleaf Terrace and Locust Dale Terrace, all of them streets surrounding Stone Bridge High school.
Authorities said a blunt object was apparently used to cause the damage. In one case, a bottle was thrown at a home’s window, officials said.
One witness reported seeing two people run from the area around the time of the Blair Park Terrace incident. The sheriff’s office is encouraging residents report any suspicious persons or activity at 703-777-1021.
