Loudoun toothbrush thefts continue

The strange rash of toothbrush thefts in Loudoun County isn't over.

On Thursday night, a man walked into the CVS on Eastern Kingbird Plaza in Ashburn and stole several electronic toothbrushes and teeth whitening products, Loudoun sheriff's officials said. Police think the same shoplifter may have taken electric razors from a Leesburg drug store the same day.

Total loss: $600.

The thefts follows similar thefts in recent weeks of high-end dental products from several county grocery stores.

But in Thursday's cases the suspect description is different than in earlier cases, where two white men were spotted. In this case the thief is a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches with a medium build, authorities said.

He was wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans and investigators think he fled in a blue pick-up truck driven by another man.
