A motorcyclist and an SUV driver do not make a good combination. Most motorcyclists and most SUV drivers don't think traffic laws apply to them.

It's not clear that a lot of the accidents reported on in this blog are actually crimes. Maybe a better name for the blog would be something like "Police Business."

Anytime there is a driver stopped and is struck by another driver, it is not relevent whether it was a motorcycle or an SUV. Comments made in ignorance should be withheld and judgements should be made based on facts and not what kind of vehicles were involved. The fact that there was a death due to negligence clearly indicates that there was a crime involved. Unfortunately the victim of this crime was my son.

wvpanhandler - you made your comments with more patience and class then I would have, under the circumstances. I drove by there around 8:30 Saturday morning and hoped everybody was okay. I'm surprised to see this story. I'm sorry for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss wvpanhandler. Your strong and appropriate response to the first comments I am sure were difficult to compose, but necessary. Much sympathy.

8 motorcyclists killed since March 22, according to the blog archives.

What fun they are, but way too dangerous!
