Couple gave girl pot for 5 years: Police

A Manassas couple has been charged with distribution of drugs to a person under 18 in a case in which investigators say a 15-year-old was given marijuana for the past five years, Prince William Police said.

Acting on a report of child abuse and neglect, police searched a home in the 9900 block of Gardenia Lane on Thursday and found marijuana, smoking devices and crack pipes that were seized, police said Friday.

During their investigation, police said, they learned that the couple allegedly had provided marijuana to a girl, now 15, since she was 10.

Arrested were Kristina Leigh Moore, 51, and Franklin Lewis Johnson, 50, both of the Gardenia Lane address, according to police.

In addition to the distribution charge, they face charges of possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana, a police statement said.

A court date has not been set.

Is either adult related to the child? And where are HER PARENTS??? Sounds like child neglect on their part as well.

Very little information was provided. Were the couple her parents by birth or adoption? If not, where did she come from? These are critical questions to how the couple should be dealt with. This couple should be handled like the drug pushers they are.

I agree very little information was provided, but it appears clear these two "adults" were around 45 when they started getting a 10 year old girl intoxicated.

If true, these people should go away for a long, long time! No mercy. This is on the same level as pimping out children for drugs, which may have been their next step.
