Va. police investigate suspicious death

Police are investigating what they call the "suspicious death" of an 18-year-old Fairfax man who died about 11 p.m. Thursday shortly after being brought to Inova Springfield Healthplex by an acquaintance, Fairfax police said.

The victim is believed to have been involved in a fight earlier Thursday night at the Rose Hill Shopping Center in the 6100 block of Rose Hill Drive, where he suffered traumatic injuries, said Fairfax police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell. She declined to be more specific about the altercation or injuries due to the ongoing investigation and pending autopsy.
