Booze arrests at Md. festival
Cecil County authorities say they made 14 alcohol-related arrests during the annual Canal Day festival.
Lt. Bernard Chiominto of the Cecil County Sheriff's Office says some people became combative and officials used a Taser gun on three of them during and after the event Saturday in Chesapeake City, Md.
Chiominto says Canal Day is predominantly a family-oriented festival. But he says the mood sometimes changes when food and merchandise vendors leave at 5 p.m. while the bars stay open for several more hours.
Chesapeake City Town Commissioner Ron Francis says most of the incidents happened after the festival ended.
