Md. inmate stabbed, 2 suspected
Correction officials say an inmate was stabbed at the Western Correctional Institution in Cresaptown.
It happened Monday about 8 p.m. in a recreation hall in one of the housing units.
The 32-year-old inmate was treated at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for wounds to his arms, back and shoulders.
He was returned to WCI early Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services says two suspects have been identified but not charged.
He said no motive has been determined for the incident.
