Md. officer pointed gun at ex: Complaint
Maryland State Police say a sergeant from Hagerstown is suspended without pay amid allegations he pointed a gun at his former live-in girlfriend.
A lawyer for 45-year-old Timothy McKendrick denies the accusation.
Court records show that McKendrick and 24-year-old Sarah Britton have filed complaints against each other in the Aug. 6 incident.
McKendrick claims Britton trespassed by returning to his house after he had ordered her out. He acknowledges getting his gun in case she was armed or accompanied by someone but claims he kept it pointed at the floor.
Britton claims McKendrick pointed the gun at her hip and threatened to shoot her unless she left.
She has charged him with assault for allegedly pushing her out of the house.
