Montgomery County police are investigating a bank robbery that took place on Bethesda's busy Wisconsin Avenue on Friday afternoon.

Police say a man entered the M&T branch at 7700 Wisconsin Ave. about 2:05 p.m., showed a teller a handgun, demanded money and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot through the shopping plaza at the rear of the bank. No one was injured.
