Rural Md. Valentine's Day dance turns violent, police say
Authorities say three people were stabbed and two others were injured during a melee at a teen Valentine's Day dance at a social hall in rural Washington County.
State police say five men between the ages of 19 and 23 were hospitalized after the fight Sunday night. Police say the brawl involved more than just those five people.
Police say an organization called Dons and Divas Teen Club rented out the Wilson Ruritan Club in Huyett for the party. But Keefer Martin, the Ruritan club's treasurer, tells The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that the woman who arranged to rent the club did not mention Dons and Divas and told him she was hosting a baby shower.
A Web site for Dons and Divas Teen Club says it has “zero tolerance” policies on alcohol, drugs and fighting.
