Police in Prince George's County are planning to announce an arrest in the slaying of a man who was found stabbed to death Jan. 8 in Langley Park, authorities said Thursday.

Police did not immediately released the suspect's name. They said they will "announce an arrest" Friday in the slaying of 30-year-old Alejandro Marcos Diaz Vasquez, of Langley Park.

Vasquez was found fatally stabbed in the 1400 block of University Blvd East on January 8.

Police have said previously the case may have been gang-related or stemming from a personal dispute.

Officials are expected to release more details about the case at a Friday news conference.
