Man shot dead in Fort Washington area

Update, 7:28 p.m.:
Sources say that police in Prince George's County are searching for a suspect who is at the least an acquaintance of the man who was shot to death Wednesday in the Fort Washington area.
The victim was found inside a vehicle in the 6900 block of Greenboro Lane, and police said he had been shot twice in the upper body while he was in the car. Sources said they are not sure what sparked the shooting.
A man who identified himself as the victim's cousin said he had just walked into his house when he heard two gunshots. He said he saw a black BMW leaving the scene. He said he assumed the shooting had something to do with a female. He walked away without giving his name.
The shooting occurred at the end of a quiet cul de sac, and neighbors arrived home from work Wednesday to find their street blocked with crime tape and police canvassing the area.
Residents said they were shocked that such violence could touch their neighborhood.
"I am just blown away," said Lula Boone, who runs a day care down the street from the shooting scene. "This is just crazy."
