Pedestrian killed in Adelphi hit-and-run

Police in Prince George’s County are trying to identify a pedestrian who was struck and killed in the Adelphi area Sunday night and find the person who struck him, authorities said.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. near 23rd Avenue and University Boulevard.
Police said a pedestrian, who they have not yet identified ,was struck and killed by a driver who apparently fled the scene. The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died, police said.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear.
