Police have identified the man shot to death in the South Laurel area of Prince George's County last week as 24-year-old Aaron Patrick Brown, authorities said.

Brown, who lived in Laurel, was playing basketball Thursday outside at a recreation center court in the 13000 block of Mistletoe Spring Road when a masked person approached and shot him, authorities said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are still searching for a suspect and motive in the case.

The slaying was the county's 20th homicide of 2011.
