Two arrested in shooting of teen

Prince George's County Police have arrested two people in the shooting of a teenage girl inside a Glenarden liquor store Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Marcus Shipman, 23, Capitol Heights, was charged with attempted first-degree murder in the incident, which police characterized as a "domestic-related" shooting of a 17-year-old girl. A 16-year-old boy was also charged as a juvenile in the case, though Shipman was believed to be the "primary shooter," said Officer Evan Baxter, a spokesman for the Prince George's County Police Department.
The shooting occurred about 3 p.m. inside Brightseat Liquors in the 2600 block of Brightseat Road, Baxter said. He said he did not know the precise relationship between the female and her assailants. The female, he said, remains in critical condition at an area hospital.

PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR MINDS. ATTEMPTED MURDER IN A LIQUOR STORE DEMONSTRATES THE LACK OF RESPECT THAT PERMEATES YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY. I'M GLAD THE LADY WASN'T KILLED AND THAT THE SHOOTERS ARE IN CUSTODY. ALTHOUGH THE CRIME RATE HAS DECREASED, THE TYPES OF CRIME HAVE BOGGLED THE MIND. WITHIN ONE WEEK, I'VE READ ABOUT PEOPLE KILLING BABIES BECAUSE THEIR MOTHER AND AUNT OWED A DRUG DEALER; A FATHER SHOT HIS 15 YEAR OLD SON BECAUSE HE SUSPECTED THE CHILD RAPED HIS 3 YEAR OLD HALF SISTER. AND THE SAD THING IS THAT DOCTORS TOLD THE FATHER THEY SAW NO EVIDENCE OF PENETRATION. THIS IS A WORLD GONE COMPLETELY INSANE.
