MoCo police investigate death of man found in the woods

A maintenance crew working in Montgomery County on Friday found a body in a wooded area of Sandy Spring, and detectives have termed the death suspicious.

Police were called to the 17900 block of Brooke Road about 1:15 p.m.

"The identity of the victim remains under investigation," police said in a statement. "Detectives are not able to determine the sex of the body, nor the length of time it may have been at this location."

The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Anyone with information is asked to call 240-773-5070.
