MoCo police: Missing woman was killed
A 45-year-old woman reported missing from Montgomery County turned up dead in the District on Monday, and Montgomery detectives think she was killed, officials said Tuesday evening.
Azin Naimi was reported missing to police by a family member at 3:30 a.m. Monday, officials said. Later that day, detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department found Naimi's body in the 300 block of Farragut Street in N.W. Police did not say where she'd been killed or how she was killed.
Detectives developed a suspect who was in custody Tuesday night. They did not release his name. They said he knew the victim.
Police ask anyone with information to call 240-773-5070.
