Montgomery police seek Redskins cap-wearing would-be bank robber
Montgomery County police are looking for a man wearing a Redskins cap who they say tried to rob a Silver Spring bank Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to the M&T Bank at 8521 Colesville Rd. after reports of a bank robbery about 1:58 p.m., according to a news release.

A man entered the bank, approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash, police said. The teller told a manager, and the man left without displaying a weapon or obtaining money.
Police described the man as a white male in his 40s, 5-foot-8 and weighing 160 pounds. He had a full beard and wore a Redskins cap and a black jacket.
