Missing Rockville woman found unharmed

Update, 11 a.m., 2/3/10: Ana Carolina Castillo was located unharmed Tuesday night in Gaithersburg.

Original post: Montgomery County police detectives are asking the public for help in finding a missing Rockville woman.

Ana Carolina Castillo, 18, of the 10200 block of Grosvenor Place in Rockville did not return home from a trip to the Lake Forest Mall in Gaithersburg on Dec. 24.

She is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a sweatshirt of unknown color, blue jeans and eyeglasses.

Ms. Castillo suffers from a mental health condition and did not have her medication. She is known to frequent the Ellsworth Drive area of Silver Spring, Wheaton Plaza and Langley Park, and she was last seen several days ago in Montgomery Village.

Police and her family are very concerned because of her mental health history and the length of time she has been gone. No foul play is suspected.

Anyone who has information regarding Ms. Castillo’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Pellecchia of the Special Investigations Division at 301-840-2500 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
