Man, 27, killed in Md. crash

A 27-year-old motorist was killed Sunday in Calvert County and a passenger in his car was critically injured when the vehicle went out of control and left the road, authorities said.
Nicholas A. Grigsby, of Lexington Park, was driving his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro south on Shamrock Court in Port Republic shortly before 5 p.m. when the car skidded off the road, went airborne, struck a tree and slammed into a culvert, according to the sheriff's office.
Grigsby was fatally injured.
Authorities said the front seat passenger was hospitalized in critical condition.
