2 hurt in Md. fire truck crash
Two women were injured in a crash Monday involving a vehicle and a fire truck in the District Heights area, authorities said.
About 4 p.m., Prince George's firefighters were called to investigate smoke inside a house on Walker Mill Road, authorities said. On the way, the firefighters were involved in a crash with a vehicle at Addison Road South and Ronald Road.
Two women in a vehicle were transported to the hospital for a "checkup of possible injuries," authorities said. The five firefighters aboard the truck were not hurt.
Another fire truck handled the original call, which turned out to be a malfunction in the home's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system, authorities said.
