Prince George's County police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Thursday night inside a burning vehicle in the Hillcrest Heights neighborhood.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, patrol officers went to the 2100 block of Catskill Street after county firefighters found a body inside a vehicle that was on fire, officials said.
The body was that of William Sylvester Epps, 55, of the 4700 block of Maui Street in Clinton, police said.

Epps had suffered trauma to the upper body, police said. Police asked anyone with information on the death to call homicide investigators at 301 772-4925 or the Crime Solvers tip line at 866-411-8477.
