Police to update on slain Md. officer
Prince George's County Police have scheduled a 2 p.m. press conference to announce a major update in the investigation into the slaying of Maryland State Trooper Wesley Brown.
Brown, 24, was off duty and working security at an Applebee’s in Forestville when he was shot early Friday morning.
About a half-hour before the shooting, Brown had escorted a man out of the resturant after he refused to pay his bill.
That patron was taken into custody Saturday night, and has been identified by police as a "person of interest." Authorities have not identified that man.
