Shot fired during Bowie robbery
Prince George's County police were searching for a suspect who fired a shot during a robbery at a 7-Eleven in Bowie Wednesday morning.
The man entered the store on Crain Highway near the Collington Plaza Shopping Center at about 8:15 a.m., a clerk at the store, Kennith Williams, 26, said.
"And he yells out, 'Give me the money,' two or three times," Williams said. Then the suspect shot his gun at the ceiling.
A co-worker handed the man about $120 out of a register and he fled on foot, Williams said.
Williams described the suspect as between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, wearing a long sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and a ski mask that revealed only his eyes and nose. A surveillance camera at the store recorded the incident, he said.
