2 Va. high school coaches arrested
Two Gainesville men associated with Stonewall Jackson High School were arrested Friday, one for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a 16-year-old female and the other for possession of drugs, Prince William police said.
William Hayes Dignan, 42, a teacher and football coach at Stonewall Jackson High School, of the 14200 block of Town Commons Way, has been charged with indecent liberties by a custodian and use of a communication device to facilitate an offense with a minor.
An investigation revealed that since early October, Dignan had been sending inappropriate messages by phone and e-mail to an underage female at the school. He is being held on a $15,000 secured bond.
Also arrested was football coach Nicholas Brandon Rosser, 31, of the same address as Dignan. Rosser was charged with possession of marijuana and was released on summons after evidence was found during the execution of a search warrant at their home.
Court dates for the men were not immediately available.
