Pr. William police investigating death of Woodbridge four-year-old

Prince William County police are investigating the death of a four-year-old boy who was found unresponsive Wednesday night inside the Woodbridge apartment where he lived, authorities said.

Someone called police just after 9 p.m. to report an unresponsive child inside the apartment in the 1800 block of Cedar Cove Way, authorities said.

The boy, Christian Simpkins, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they were investigating the circumstances of the death and would release more information as it became available.
