Prince George's rescuers say no victim found in pond
Prince George's County rescuers called to a Largo pond because of concerns someone may have fallen through the ice said a search has not turned up a victim.
Rescuers were called to the pond, near a Metro garage at the rear of the Boulevard at Capital Center shopping center, about 9:30 a.m. after someone spotted tracks leading through the snow to a hole in the ice.
Mark E. Brady, spokesman for the Prince George's County Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, said rescuers conducted a surface search and found no indication anyone was in the water. He said rescue teams are clearing the scene.
