Arrest made in July 3 homicide

A Fort Washington man was arrested Friday in the July 3 homicide of a 19-year-old District resident, D.C. police said.

Antoine Sadique Taylor, 29, was arrested in the 4600 block of Minnesota Avenue NE, police said.

He has been charged in the fatal shooting of Joshua Hopkins, who lived in Northeast.

Police responded to a report of a shooting shortly after midnight July 3 in the 6100 block of Banks Place NE, where they found Hopkins with critical gunshot injuries. He was taken to a hospital and died July 4.
